Can you believe Ms. Quek at the MOE? Now she is asking that parents have a Court Order before information on their children can be released. Is this "rule" something that applies to everyone or only specific to certain parents? How transparent can this be. You don't know whether to cry or laugh for Ms. Quek; afterall she is a product of the system she works for. Here is her letter asking for a court order before a parent is allowed to have information on his children. Do all parents have to provide a court order specifically for this information? After I responded to this letter, the head went into the sand and the questions go unanswered. If MOE accepted the children's birth cert for school registration, then it will notice I am the father and the children bear my last name. Mr_Ko_20100728 from MOE

MOE Singapore requests information then ignores your questions
I am the father and legal guardian of Christoper and William Ko. I have provided the Singapore Ministry of Education birth certificates and Child Custody Court Order; yet they refuse to tell me where my children are enrolled in school.

Mr. Quek
My children were abducted illegally to Singapore on August 31, 2009 by the children's Singaporean mother.
A Joint Legal and Joint Physical Custody Order was violated by the mother. The children's US passports were confiscated by the Family Court to prevent the mother from fleeing the US with the children.
She managed to get brand new Singapore passports for the children from the Singapore Consulate in San Francisco.
An inquiry was sent to the MOE to find out if the children are enrolled in school in Singapore. I received more questions from Mr. Freddy Loke. Then according to Mr. QUEK Hui Ching, after having "carefully considered" my request for information was denied.
Are you kidding me? A father cannot get information on his children? The Custody Order stated clearly that any enrollment in private or public school requires authorization from BOTH parents.
What did the MOE use for my approval? Singapore is a country where the rule of law is very very clear.
